STILA LUXE SHADOW PALETTE

Welcome back everyone, sorry for the long delay (studies are taking priority atm). Have no fear, beauty discoveries and purchases have still been going on in the meantime.

First up is a relatively new addition to my ever-growing palette stash. The Stila 'Luxe eyeshadow palette', this beauty only stripped me of a measly £7.50 down from £30 "WHAT?!" I hear you scream. This was purchased on the Stila website in their January sale. In short, all I can say is keep an eye on that pesky Stila website because there was a lot up for grabs at amazing prices but a limited stock.

Enough rambling. On the to the actual palette.

The palette consists of 3 matte and 6 finely milled shimmer shades. The matte shades; Bubble Bath, Silk and Bonbon are a perfect everyday neutral set of eyeshadows. With a butter-like texture these will hold extremely well and make your beautiful eyes of any colour pop. The next six shades are definitely more specific and may not appeal to all. However, the 'glitter' is not over the top and would blend even more when mixed with one of the matte shades. Bordeaux, Cashmere and Crushed velvet are perfect smoke-me-up shades. The warm tones of these shadows make them most suited to brown and green-eyed girls. The only shade that I don't think I will get much use out of is 'Love of the ocean' It is quite a strong blue and that just doesn't suit me but I definitely have enough to play with here.

Last but not least, the eyeliner. The palette also comes with a waterproof smudge stick eyeliner in 'Lady fish' (questionable name I know). This is a perfect addition to the purply hues to this palette. It glides over the lid with surprising ease and the waterproof element keeps it in place all night.

This palette is not cheap at £30 (I'm sorry for rubbing in my steal of a price) but I think I would still have it on my to-buy list because of the vast amount of combinations it holds.

Let me know if you would like to see swatches or a makeup look with this palette?
Any other Stila products I should try?
